Types of Academic Writing


Before you begin writing, consider the articles that you read on the topic: Collaboration and Learning, by answering the following questions.

• What ideas stand out to you?
• Do you agree or disagree with them?
• Can you add any information from your experience as a student or as a teacher to what has been discussed?

Thesis Statement

Based on your answers, write a sentence expressing your opinion on the subject.

Topic Sentences

Think of at least three ideas that can give support to your thesis statement.
Write them in three different sentences.

Evidence

Write examples to support your topics sentences.









Now you're ready to start writing your essay!

Remember to include an introduction, a body and a conclusion to your text.
